SPI series

The Rotoflex Model SPI is a computer controlled one-pass processing machine for the automatic, high-speed verification and certification of products for security sensitive industries including pharmaceutical labels and leaflets.

The Model SPI functions as a bi-directional inspection machine, which reverses the web to an operator correction position when faults are detected, and then re-inspects the web to ensure that the necessary corrections have been performed. As the faults are reversed to the inspection area, the slitting and rewinding section remains stationary. When the necessary corrections have been performed, the machine continues in a one pass mode. This is accomplished through an active accumulator.

The SPI will accommodate multiple inspection functions such as bar-code verification, matrix/missing label detection, flag mill-splice detection, as well as print quality and content verification. It also can be equipped with multiple slitting methods, a leader and trailer creation system as well as multiple-row back numbering. Log reports for audit tracking and core-label printing systems are also available. With this method we maintain the integrity of dual pass security, with one pass finishing.
