Aquaflex (FLSmithe)

Since the conception of L.P.P. Aquaflex (FLSmithe) have been working closely with L.P.P. to re-establish the Aquaflex name in the UK territory. We have seen a significant growth in the service and supply of spare parts to original Aquaflex Customers and are now concentrating on the establishment of the rebirth of the Aquaflex Press range.

Aquaflex brand now firmly under the wing of FLSmithe the largest supplier of Envelope Printing & Converting Equipment Worldwide have begun a programme of rebirth for the Aquaflex range, the original equipment is being updated to today's technology via a Servo System installed on the popular DBX range and similar design changes to the Instaprep and the LX range of equipment.

In addition to these engineering developments FLSmithe have designed and built the new FPC Press (Film-Paper-Carton), this eight colour, twenty eight inch wide machine has been installed at a Label & Packaging Printer in New Jersey, USA to run a wide range of film based products.

Aquaflex (FLSmithe) have identified that narrow web film packaging production and self adhesive labels are coming together and Customers want the ability to run both products on one press, the FPC is designed to be manufactured from eighteen inch to thirty two inch web width, to accommodate both sides of the industry. Aquaflex (FLSmithe) are also developing a new machine to be launched at the Labelex Show in Chicago, which will carry some new features for label press and packing conversion.

Stuart Roberts Vice President of FLSmithe comments:

"It has been a long road to get the Aquaflex range and its name back on its feet, we feel the job has been successful. In North America we are enjoying good sales of all Aquaflex equipment and the potential for the new developments are looking good, we are now in a position to attack the European market with our new products over there."
