4RNWC

Polymag Tek's 4 Roll Web Cleaner System (4RNWC) is designed to remove loose particulate contamination from a moving substrate. The Polymag® Blue Contact Cleaning Rolls (CCR) contact both sides of the web or sheet as it transports through the cleaner. Surface contamination is transferred from the web to the CCRs. The CCR's are then continuously cleaned with Two Adhesive Tape Rolls. Pneumatic cylinders load the two CCR's into contact with the web and load the tape rolls against the CCR's. Once the CCR's are nipped, the web drives the cleaner. When the web line stops, the CCR's separate from the web and the tape rolls separate from the CCR's. The contamination collects on the surface of the Tape Rolls. When the Tape rolls become saturated, a layer of tape can be removed. Each tape roll contains 66 feet of adhesive tape. Approximately one foot of tape is used per tape change.

6RNWC-IIA

Polymag Tek's 6 Roll Narrow Web Cleaner System (6RNWC-IIA) is designed to remove loose particulate contamination from a moving substrate. The Polymag® Blue Contact Cleaning Rolls (CCR) contact both sides of the web as it transports through the web cleaner. Surface contamination is transferred from the web to the CCRs. The 1.25" O.D. CCRs are then continuously cleaned with Two Tape Rolls.

The top CCRs and adhesive tape roll assemblies create a nip between the web and the lower fixed CCRs. The web drives the 4 CCRs and the 2 tape rollers.

The contamination from the web collect on the surface of the Adhesive Tap Rolls. When the Tape rolls become saturated, a layer of tape can be removed. Each tape roll contains 66 feet of adhesive tape. Approximately one foot of tape is used per tape change.

Contact Cleaning Rolls

The contact cleaning rolls (CCR) are polymer-covered rollers used to remove surface contamination from paper, films, and foils. The surface of the CCR is designed to remove dirt through direct contact with any loose contamination on webs or sheets. Since the roll directly contacts the substrate, there is no interference with boundary layer air entrapped particles. The contamination on the surface of the CCR can be removed easily by hand washing or with adhesive tape.
